SPYING ON THE BRAIN: HOW TO MAKE & USE GENETICALLY ENCODED FLUORESCENT SENSORS TO MONITOR NEUROTRANSMISSION
Jinxia Wan, PhD
Boya Postdoctoral Research Fellow | Peking University
Watch this amazing INSPIRE learning webinar with novel optical imaging sensors specialist, Dr. Jinxia Wan, PhD from Peking University!
Jinxia reviews the latest development and strategies of genetically encoded GPCR-Activation-Based (GRAB) neurotransmitter sensors. Using the GRAB5-HT sensor as an example, she covers the development, characterization and application of multiple serotonin sensors, as well as the latest suite of new GRAB sensors, including monoamines, neurolipids, purines and neuropeptides, developed by the Yulong Li lab. In addition, you will see the latest application of dual dynamic imaging with the dopamine GRAB sensor from the Li lab using Inscopix miniscopes.
